Alert! - Keep Watch and Pray

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” Matthew 24:42. Watch, be prepared, be spiritually ready for the Lords’ return. “Knowing that Christ’s return will be sudden and unexpected should motivate us to always be prepared. We are not to live irresponsibly – sitting and waiting, doing nothing; seeking self-serving pleasure; using his tarrying as an excuse not to do God’s work of building his kingdom; developing a false security based on precise calculations of events; or letting our curiosity about the end time divert us from doing God’s work.”, taken from ‘The Handbook of Bible Application, Neil S. Wilson, Editor, copyright 1992, page 491. We need to be responsible to live as God has called us to live; help the poor, the widow, the orphan, the sick, the imprisoned, the lost; and to keep the land, “And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and keep it.”, Genesis 2:15. God put man in charge of the land, in charge of government, and it is time for the people of God to get involved in government, in taking care of the land. How do we do that, we vote responsibly for people who value and walk out God’s principles, we run for office, we PRAY.

There are many events and agendas in need of prayer, the war in Ukraine, the drought in Africa, the end of Roe v Wade and more events and agendas appear in the news, or not, that need our prayers. Next week, May 22 – 28, 2022, the Seventy-fifth World Health Assembly will be meeting. The following information is from the WHO website: The World Health Organization, founded in 1948, “WHO is the United Nations agency that connects nations, partners and people to promote health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable – so everyone, everywhere can attain the highest level of health.” And what they do, “WHO leads global efforts to expand universal health coverage. We direct and coordinate the world’s response to health emergencies. And we promote healthier lives – from pregnancy care through old age. Our Triple Billion targets outline an ambitious plan for the world to achieve good health for all using science-based policies and programs.” Intercessors for America (IFA) post states that Sunday, May 22, 2022, is a critical day as the vote for the proposed amendment will take place at the Assembly.” They go on to say; “Adopting this provision will require 193 UN members to place themselves under the guidance, direction and authority of the World Health Organization in the ongoing face of the Covid pandemic and any future pandemic announced at the discretion of the WHO.” (The agenda item in its entirety can be found in the attached website.) According to IFA former Congressman, Michele Bachmann, “the upcoming vote in Geneva over the Biden Administration’s amendment would cede U.S. sovereignty to the WHO over national healthcare decisions in what she described as ‘the biggest global power grab that we have seen in our lifetimes.’” IFA continues “that the top two goals of WHO “are to recommit intensity to a global response for Covid and vaccinate the world to protect the most vulnerable and prevent future catastrophes.”, and that, “According to a report in the Independent Sentinel, “the WHO is attempting to push through changes to a treaty that would give them global control over health worldwide. This helps fulfill some of the goals of the WEF’s (World Economic Forum) Great Reset. It is a massive power grab that takes away a nation’s sovereign rights to determine its own health standards.”

As Christ followers, we must always be aware of and check out opinions, thoughts, and publications, of all sides and check it with truth – the Word of God. Proverbs 12:19, The lip of truth shall be established for ever; but a lying tongue is but for a moment.” Per the Handbook of Bible Application, “Truth never changes. Truth is always timely; it applies today and in the future. Because it is connected with God’s changeless character, it is also changeless. Think for a moment about the centuries that have passed since these proverbs were written. Consider the countless hours that have been spent in careful study of every sentence of Scripture. The Bible has withstood the test of time. Because God is truth, you can trust his Word to guide you.” So, we do need to pray, as evil forces in America and around the world are no longer hiding their agendas but display their arrogant pride (paraphrased from Pastor Rodney Lord from a post on Give Him 15, 5/18/22). Pastor Rodney goes on to say we need to be a “Jacob-like generation that will not let go until they have been transformed by the power of God and they see their nation transformed.” In Obadiah 1:21, “And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the Kingdom shall be the Lord’s.”

So, watch, read your Bible, (God’s Truth) so you are prepared, do God’s bidding, and PRAY.

We must continue to press in and pray that Roe versus Wade will be overturned and not rely on “the leak.” Pray for Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney Barrett to be steadfast in their decision and pray protection over them, their families, and their positions. Also pray for John Roberts to vote to overturn Roe v. Wade and that Elena Kagen and Sonia Sotomayer will have changed hearts and vote to stop the killing of babies.

Continue to pray for Ukraine as the invasions continue in their country.
