  • Continue to pray for peace in Ukraine and other war-torn parts of the world.

Psalm 122: 6-7 – “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your wall and security within your citadels.” The Handbook of Bible Application points out that “the peace sought in these verses is much more than the mere absence of conflict.” It continues that “real peace comes from faith in God… “As we pray for the end to conflict throughout the nations, may we remember to pray for salvation for all, as it says in 2 Peter 3:9 – “…He (the Lord) is patient with you, not wanting anyone to parish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

  • As devastating weather conditions continue, pray for protection of life and provision for those affected by these storms. Too much rain fall, not enough, snowstorms and tornados are causing havoc for many around the world, lift them up in prayer this week.

  • January 22 is observed as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Continue to pray for changed hearts on the issue of abortion, stop the murder. Let all proclaim life for the born and unborn.

Psalm 139: 13-14 - “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well.”

  • Pray for food availability and for affordable prices. In the United States egg prices jumped 60% from last year due to the “avian” (bird) flu epidemic. War, drought, skyrocketing fertilizer prices, and disease all factor into higher prices and empty store shelves worldwide. Pray, “Lord, give us this day our daily bread” to meet spiritual and physical needs.

  • Pray for Christians around the world who are being persecuted. Christians are watching family members being murdered and being tortured physically and mentally and they need our uplifting prayers. And, we need to pray for those persecuting, that they may come to know Jesus and be saved.

  • From Worthey News Insights posts “Minnesota will soon ban faithful Christians, Muslims, and Jews from teaching in public schools by requiring that every state-certified teacher “fosters an environment that ensures student identities such as gender identity…are…affirmed.” Once the new requirements clear a final procedural hurdle, they will be immediately challenged in state and possibly federal court, a civil liberties lawyer told The Federalist on Tuesday.”

Pray for public education systems around the world that there would be protection of our children of all ages, that their innocence will not be polluted with the growing darkness and sins of the world. Pray for the Holy Spirit to blow through and rest on our education facilities, the administrators, and the teachers.

Proverbs 22:6 – “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”

Continue to pray for Ukraine.
