For Such a Time as This

The bad news continues, as we hear of the risk of nuclear disaster, violence in Israel, Monkeypox
outbreaks and cases of Polio reported in the US in New York state. Floods, droughts, food shortages,
school systems teaching divisive and ungodly ideas, and gender-confused ideology abounds. In times like
these, we are not to fear, “The Lord is with e, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Psalm 118;6.
In times like these we need to pray and to be listening for our prayer assignments. In a recent post on
‘Give Him 15’, (July 25, 2022), Dutch Sheets and friends shared the importance of on-site prayer. Dr.
Greg Hood shared the importance of have “Boots on the Ground” and the practice of praying on
location. We can pray anywhere, but if God shows you a particular place to pray, consider it a divine
appointment and go. Our schools, local, state, and national government buildings, hospitals,
communities, walk around them, safely and responsively, and pray. As Joshua walked around the Wall of
Jericho to bring the wall tumbling down, let us walk around these places to bring the spirits of the evil
one down. Pastor Randy Lopshire shared that as we pray, we connect with the atmosphere for that
moment, and we can set the enemy back on his heels and get him off balance then as we keep praying,
we can topple him. We need to apply the prayer pressure where needed to release God’s energy in that
place where God is leading us.
Queen Esther was reluctant to appear before the King as he had not summoned her, but her uncle,
Mordecai, encouraged her to seek favor for the Jews or they would all perish, including Esther. Mordecai
said to Esther, “And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14b. Perhaps the on-site prayer assignment God has given you is the time and place that you
were made for “such a time as this.”
Dr. Hood stated that people are being activated for a spiritual invasion, “of taking back what belongs to
the Kingdom of God – to occupy the territory that the enemy took but doesn’t belong to him.” He
continues “The time and season are so right for us to shift things back into the kingdom of light.” So, put on your boots head to your divine assignment and pray. You were made for such a time as this.

Continue to pray for Ukraine.
