“Male and female he created them. . .”

“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27

Immorality is running rampant in our world today. Webster defines immoral as: “not in conformity with accepted principles of right and wrong behavior” and “not in conformity with the accepted standards of proper sexual behavior; unchaste; lewd.” In 1 Corinthians 6:18 Paul says to “Flee from sexual immorality.” Read 1 Corinthians 6:18-20. Exodus 20:14, “You shall not commit adultery.” In Matthew 5:28, “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Read Matthew 5: 28-32. We must guard our hearts and not let lustful desires lead us astray. In Leviticus 18:5-24, God’s decrees about sexual relationships are listed. However, we see throughout time where his decrees have not been followed. In Genesis 5:1 – 9:17, we read the story of Noah and how aside from him and his family, the world was destroyed due to their wickedness. Again, in Genesis 18:16 - 19:29 we find the story of Lot and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah due to sexual immorality. In Romans 1:18-32 in verses 24 and 25, “Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie,. . .” Continuing in verse 26 and 27 “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lust. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. In the United States, same sex marriage was legalized in June 2015. The LGBTQ movement is on the rise and being embraced by many agencies, businesses and by our education systems. Curriculums such as the following Policy 443, from the Board of Education in Frederick County, Maryland (US); Creating Welcoming and Affirming Schools for Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Students. It includes but is not limited to the following: “A person’s deeply held sense or psychological knowledge of their own gender, which can include being female, male, another gender, or no gender. One’s gender identity can be the same or different from the gender assigned at birth. The responsibility for determining an individual’s gender rests with the individual.”

In her book ‘Fervent,’ Priscilla Shirer writes, “Because this is war. The fight of your life. A very real enemy has been strategizing and scheming against you, assaulting you, coming after your emotions, your mind, your man, your child, your future. In fact, he’s doing it right this second. Right where you’re sitting. Right where you are.” (page 2) The enemy is Satan, and he is attacking your identity to “devalue your strength and magnify your insecurities. . .from being who God created you to be.” (page 55) He is strategizing “to disintegrate your family and destroy every member of it” (page 71) and to “tempt you toward certain sins, making you believe they are basically (even biologically) unavoidable.” (page 119)

All these issues. What can we do? PRAY. Priscilla goes on to say, “Prayer is the portal that brings the power of heaven down to earth.” (page 5) and we NEED power from heaven to combat the evil in this world. Pray for a return to morality in all nations in all wrong behavior, not just sexual sin. Pray for our children, of all ages, against the lies of Satan and the immoral curriculums that are being taught in our educational systems. Be aware of and pray against political bills and laws that are against God’s word. Pray for those caught up in a sinful lifestyle to break free and know that they can be renewed and have salvation through Christ. “And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, which is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

Please keep the Sons of Thunder Revival Meeting, in Zambia, Africa, to take place April 20th through April 25th in prayer. Pray for the Holy Spirit to move, for peace throughout this time, that many souls will be saved and that baptisms go well for those saved.
