-          Pray for those suffering from the aftermath of Tropical Storm, Debby (United States)

Pray for those who lost loved ones and property from the destruction caused by Tropical Storm, Debby, this past week as it torn through Florida and up the east coast. Heavy rainfall caused flooding and destruction and was accompanied by damaging tornados. Pray for those who set about rebuilding their lives, that they will seek the Lord in this time of turmoil, and set their foundation on the Rock, Jesus.

Matthew 7:25 - “The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”

-          Pray for the Christians who are being persecuted.

In China, Uganda, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Nigeria, and Bangladesh, along with many other countries, Christians are being persecuted because of their faith and their sharing of the Gospel. Pray for all Christians, everywhere, to stand firm on the Truth and to be bold where God has called them. Pray the peace of Jesus over all who are persecuted as their reward will be great.

1 Peter 4:12-14 – “Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.”

Matthew 5:10 – Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

-          Pray for Israel.

As tensions continue to rise, Israel prepares for attack. Pray for peace among people, that evil will cease, and that people can stand together for righteousness in the land.

Psalm 122 – “I rejoiced with those who said to me, Let us go to the house of the Lord. Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem, Jerusalem is built like a city that is closely compacted together. That is where the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, to praise the name of the Lord, according to the statute given to Israel. There the thrones for judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; May those who love you be secure. May there be peace withing your walls and security within your citadels. For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, Peace be within you. For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.”            

              Continue to pray peace over Israel and Ukraine and all countries in turmoil.
