- Pray that none, including Christians, will be deceived but that we will seek truth in God’s Word. Cult leader, Pastor Paul Nthenge Mackenzie’s ministry has been deregistered by Kenya’s government. Per Worthy News last week, Mackenzie “forced more than 400 hundred members of his congregation to starve themselves to death in order to meet Jesus.” Pray for pastors around the world to preach the truth from God’s Word and that congregations and all Christians will search their Bibles for the true Word of God and not be deceived by anyone.
Matthew 24:24 – “For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect – it that were possible.”
- Pray for an end to gender confusion and pray for protection over our children. Worthy News reports “At least 1,040 US school districts nationwide have implemented policies that allow staff to keep parents in the dark about their child’s identifying as trans or nonbinary, the Christian Post reports. The school districts represent 18,335 schools with more than 10.7 million students.” Pray for our education systems to stop pushing controversial agendas and pray for parents to get and stay involved in their children’s education. Pray for parents to teach God’s ways to their children throughout the world.
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 – “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Matthew 18:5-6 – “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.”
- Pray for Restoring Faith in American and take a knee on September 1, 2023. Visit their website at rfia.org. In 2022, the Supreme Court ruled to allow a Washington state high school football coach to pray on the field at the end of games. The Christian legal group that won this case views this as “the first step in a nationwide push to return affirmations of faith to the public square.” An opportunity to have open prayer and displays of the Ten Commandments, nativity scenes and other expressions of faith in arenas where they have disappeared.
Psalm 11:3 – “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?”
- Pray for Christian businesses to thrive and not be persecuted. LGBTQ Activists have targeted a Christian café due to the café’s ministry to the homeless. They are being persecuted due to their statements affirming biblical truths. Pray for the Drip Café as they stand on God’s Word and help those in need to break chains to help them with mental health issues, provide spiritual coaching and financial advice and are helping them to find employment and housing. Pray as they reach out to those in need.
Isaiah 5:20 – “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness who put bitter for
