- Pray for those suffering from natural disasters.
Pray for Mayotte, where Cyclone Chido killed hundreds, possibly thousands, of people
last week when it hit the island. The cyclone then made landfall in Mozambique killing
seventy-five people. Pray for those who lost loved ones and their homes. Pray for rescue
workers as they try to recover losses and bring aid to these areas.
A 7.3 earthquake left at least fourteen dead and hundreds injured in Vanuatu. Pray for
those who are suffering loss and pray for healing of the injured.
Matthew 24:6-8 – “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars but see to it that you
are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation
will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and
earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
Isaiah 41:10 – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am
your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous
right hand.”
- Pray for Israel.
Israel “intercepted a ballistic missile launched from Yemen” last week. “In a separate
incident, the Israeli Navy shot down a Houthi-launched drone over the Red Sea before it
entered Israeli territory.” Pray for peace in Israel, pray for terrorist activity to end, and
pray for all of Israel to accept Jesus as the Messiah.
Zechariah 2:8,9 – “For this is what the Lord Almighty says: After he has honored
me and has sent me against the nations that have plundered you, for whoever
touches you touches the apple of his eye. I will surely raise my hand against
them so that their slaves will plunder them. The you will now that the Lord
Almighty has sent me.”
- Pray for Abundant Life Christian School (United States).
A shooting at the Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, left at least three dead,
including the shooter, and several injured. Pray for the families of those who lost loved
ones, for all those injured, and pray for comfort and emotional healing for the faculty,
students, and the community.
Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”
Psalm 147: 3 – “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
- Blessings to all for a Merry Christmas.
As you enjoy the festivities of the season, thank God for sending His Son to save us and
pray for many to come to know Jesus this Christmas and to accept the best gift of all,
salvation and eternal life. Shout out the Good News to a dark world in need of light.
Luke 2:11 – “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is
Christ the Lord.”
Isaiah 9:6 – “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government
will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
