-          Pray for Guinea, Africa.

Pray for Guinea as fifty-six people, including children, died in a soccer stadium stampede. Pray also for the many that were injured when there was a clash between fans over a referee’s decision.

Proverbs 22:24-25 – “Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn his ways and get yourself ensnared.”

Proverbs 15:18 – A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel.”

James 1:20 – “for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.”

-          Pray for Christians in Syria.

Pray for Syria as “Syrian rebels have captured the central city of Hana.” This surprise attach killed hundreds of people and reignited the country’s civil war. And the government is “tightening their grip on those whom they feel are a threat to social stability.” The Christians are under more pressure, especially those who have converted from Islam.

Matthew 5:11-12 – “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

-          Pray for the sale of Bibles in the United States and for the Good News to spread.

President – elect, Donald Trump, pledged to bring the Christian faith back to the White House, and Bible sales have hit record numbers. “Sales were up 22 percent through end of October,” this was attributed to high anxiety levels and concerns for children and grandchildren prior to the November election. “They’re looking for hope with the world the way it is, and the Bible is what they’re reaching for,” stated Bethany Martin, manager of Faith and Life Bookstore in Kansas, (US). Pray that as people purchase their Bibles, they will read them, follow God’s plan, and share the Good News.

James 1:22-25 – Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it, he will be blessed in what he does.”

Psalm 19: 8 – “The percepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.”

-          Pray for the return of Christian religion in public schools. (United States)

NBC news reported, “Religion in public schools being tested by Christian conservatives” as “Texas education officials approve an optional Bible-base curriculum in elementary schools.” Several states are attempting to introduce religious material back into public schools, stating that Christianity should not be removed from United States history. Pray Christianity to come back into the public schools and that students will hear the Good News and be saved.

Proverbs 4:5-8 – “Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Widom is supreme; therefore, get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you.”

Hebrews 5: 13-14 – Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.”

-          Continue prayer for Israel.

“Israel, Hezbollah in deadliest clashes since announcing truce.” Since the ceasefire, week before last, fighting continued as “Israel accused Hezbollah of provoking Israeli military.” These “tit-for-tat strikes in south Lebanon and north Israel have caused concern that fully-fledged fighting” could resume after this short ceasefire deal was announced. Pray for this war to end and for peace.

Psalm 122:6-9 – “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels. For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say Peace be within you. For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.”
