-          Pray for the United States as they mourn two separate airplane accidents.

Pray for those who lost loved ones this past week when a jet and helicopter collided in Washington D.C. killing sixty-seven people and a medivac flight crashed when the plane exploded over Philadelphia, killing the six people on the flight and one person on the ground. Pray for these families, to include those of some Russian skaters and athletes on board the jet in Washington.

Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

-          Pray for release of remaining Israeli hostages.

Hamas has released fifteen hostages since the ceasefire came into effect on January 19th. There are eighty-two remaining hostages. Pray for their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and a quick release.

Psalm 142:7 – “Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me.”

Psalm 143:1 – “O Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.”

-          Pray for children everywhere.

Pray that a new bill introduced by Republican lawmakers in the United States would pass to “end federally funded transgender surgeries, hormones for minors.” Representative Dan Crenshaw stated, “using Medicaid funds for unproven and irreversible procedure on minors is not only medically irresponsible but also a betrayal of public trust.”

President Trump, U.S., blocked federal funding for abortion in the U.S. and abroad. He has reinstated the policy that prohibits government funding of foreign organizations that provide and promote abortions and has directed “the Secretary of State to take all necessary actions, to the extent permitted by law, to ensure that U.S. taxpayer dollars do not fund organizations or programs that support or participate in the management of a program of coercive abortion or involuntary sterilization.”

The “U.S. Supreme Court to consider constitutionality of publicly funded religious school, as they have agreed “to hear an appeal from an Oklahoma Catholic school seeking to become the nation’s first publicly funded religious charter school.”

Pray for these items that concern our children, born and unborn, pray they will happen.

Psalm 139:13,14,16 – “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well. Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

Deuteronomy 6:6,7 – “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on you children; Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

-          Pray for an end to rising antisemitism, worldwide.

“World leaders and dozens of Holocaust survivors gathered Monday at the former site of the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp in Poland to commemorate the 80th anniversary of its liberation by Soviet troops at the end of World War II.” However, as some remember, many have forgotten or do not know the horror of that period. Pray that history will not repeat itself, and that people will be appalled by this memory and that antisemitic behavior will end.

John 13:34 – “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

-          Pray for Israel and Salvation for the Jewish people.

Many of the ministries who have been advocates for and supported Israel through intercession and financial funding have come under attacked in multiple ways. This includes a Christian broadcasting network that brought the gospel into Israel. George, of Worthy News, writes: “These ministries that are under attack have been ministries fully committed to sharing the gospel with the Jewish people. I want you to understand how intense the spiritual assault is against those fighting for Israel’s salvation. True restoration of Israel will only happen when the Jewish people return to their Messiah. Not only that, Israel’s revival is directly connected to our own revival as the Body of Christ, it’s one of the key factors to sparking the next great awakening!”

Pray for the peace of Israel and the return of God’s Chosen to the Messiah.

Isaiah 61:1-4 - “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind  up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion, to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.”
