-          Pray for Sweden.

Pray for the families and friends of the eleven people killed (including the shooter) in a school shooting last week in Sweden and for those injured. The nation mourns the loss of those who were students at the Risbergska school for adult education.

              Matthew 5:4 – “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

 

-          Pray for an end to all abortions, everywhere.

“A new nationwide annual poll reveals that young adults in the U.S., ages 18-24, are increasingly adopting pro-life positions, showing greater support for restrictions on abortion.” Pray that this regard for life continues to rise and that hearts will change to eliminate abortions worldwide.

Psalm 127:3-5 – “Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.”

 

-          Pray for President Trump, United States, as he announces plans to create a Commission on Religious Liberty and to end anti-Christian bias.

Last week President Trump spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast and declared that the nation needs God. He said, “From the earliest day of our Republic, faith in God has always been the source of the strength that beats in the hearts of our nation, we have to bring religion back. We have to bring it back much stronger.” President Trump went on to say, “Without God, we are isolated and alone, but with God, the Scripture tells us all things are possible.” Pray for President Trump and his administration to draw near to God and to lead the United States with Godly principles. Pray, as he expressed, his desire that “in the end, I hope my greatest legacy when it is all finished will be as a peacemaker and a unifier.”

Deuteronomy 16:18-22 – “Appoint judges and administrative officials for all the cities the Lord your God is giving you. They will administer justice in every part of the land. Never twist justice to benefit a rich man and never accept bribes. For bribes blind the eyes of the wisest and corrupt their decisions.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

 

-          Pray for missionaries.

Pray for missionaries around the world as they go into the fields to spread the Good News. Pray for their provision, protection, and vision. Pray that they can learn foreign languages with ease to be able to communicate the gospel clearly. Pray as teams work with local churches for unity as they share with those around them and pray for hearts to be open to Jesus.

Mark 16:15 – “He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.”

 

 

-          Pray for the war to end between Russian and Ukraine.

As the war continues, pray for peace. To date, it is estimated that 700,000 Ukrainian soldiers and 800,000 Russian soldiers have died in this conflict. As discussions for peace continue, President Trump said, “I want to see it end for one simple reason; the life of young people being absolutely obliterated on both sides.” Pray for an end to evil and greed in the leadership of our nations.

Romans 12:18 – “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

Proverbs 29:2 – “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.”

 

-          Pray for Israel:

Pray for an end to conflict in Israel. Pray for the Jews, the Chosen People of God, to come to the Messiah and be saved.

Jeremiah 51:5 – “For Israel and Judah have not been forsaken by their God, the Lord Almighty, though their land is full of guilt before the Holy One of Israel.”

Lamentations 3:22-25 – “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning, great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him. The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.”
