- Pray for Good News Clubs.
“The United States Supreme Court ruled in 2001 that public school districts must allow both secular and religious groups to access their facilities.” After school Satan Clubs have been springing up around the country, teaching children there is no right or wrong or a God that loves them. They teach “Satan is their “pal,” and that he is “not evil,” and he just wants kids to “have fun” and “be themselves.” Worthy News reports that Good News Clubs are flourishing and hoping “to reach 30.4 million children worldwide this year.” Good News Clubs want to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Word of God
to our children. Pray for Good News Clubs to be established throughout the United States and around the world and that parents will join in the Good News for their children and themselves.
Deuteronomy 6:6,7 – “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
Proverbs 22:6 – “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.”
- Pray for the Homeless and those without shelter.
Worthy News reports that in the United States, “Ohio pastor taken to court after opening church 24/7 to the homeless.” In March, last year, Pastor Avell opened the church continuously to allow homeless people shelter from the cold. The city Zoning Commission stated that as the Church did not have bedrooms, people could not sleep on the property. Charges were filed and Pastor Avell pled “not guilty” and that he was “simply doing what Churches throughout history have done: care for those who walk through their door no matter the time of day.” Pray for Past Avell and his Church, and other Churches, that their doors will remain open.
Romans 12:13 – “Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.”
Colossians 3:12 – “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
- Pray for protection from governmental invasion of religious and political privacy. The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), “oversees financial transactions to prevent money laundering related to domestic and international terrorism.” News reports have revealed that “FinCEN urged large financial institutions to comb through the private transactions of their customers for suspicious charges on the basis of protected political and religious expression.” Along with travel related charges, “the purchase of books (including religious texts) and subscriptions to other media containing extremist
views.” would be under surveillance. The United States Federal Government supports the flagging of these transactions. Pray for your right to buy Bibles, other religious materials, and support political parties of your choice without being flagged by the government as a terrorist.
Luke 21:17-19 – “and you will be hated by all on account of My name. Yet not a hair of your head will perish. By your endurance you will gain your lives.”
- Continue prayers for the persecuted Christians.
The slaughter continues. Morning Star News reported to Worthy News that “31 more Plateau Christians” were killed between January 22nd and 24th in Nigeria. “Nigeria ranks first in the world for the number of Christians murdered on account of their faith.”
Psalm 37:7,40 – 7 “Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.” 40 “The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.”
- Continue pray for Israel, Ukraine, and all countries at war or facing conflicts.
