_            Continue to pray for California, United States.

Pray for people in California as the wildfires continue. As of January 13th, sixteen people have been killed as the wind-fed fires sweep through 37,000 acres in the Los Angeles area. 12,000 structures have been burned to the ground and more than 150,00 residents have been evacuated. Pray for those who have lost loved ones and those who have lost their homes. Pray provision for the homeless and pray for the many fire fighters battling the blaze.

Lamentations 3:22-25 – “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, The Lord is my portion; therefore, I will wait for him.”

 

-          Pray for a peaceful United States Presidential Inauguration.

Pray for incoming President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance as the inauguration ceremonies begin on Monday, January 20. Pray for peaceful events throughout the day and pray that President Trump and his team will guide the United States with wisdom and discernment from the Lord.

              Hebrews 12:14a – “Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy.”

Philippians 2:3,4 – “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

 

-          Pray for Nigerian Christians.

Christians in Nigeria were urged to be “on high alert against attacks by Fulani radicalized Islamic herdsman,” as the killings continue. Tens of thousands of Christians have been murdered by Islamic terrorist since 2009, and Nigeria remains the highest-ranking county in Africa “where a Christian is most likely to be killed for his or her faith.” Pray for all Christians who are being persecuted around the world.

Joshua 1:7-9 – “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified: do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Matthew 5:10 – “Bless are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

 

_            Continue prayers for Taiwan.

China appears to be preparing to invade Taiwan beaches. Pray for protection of this democratic county and that evil attempts to takeover their government will not succeed.

Psalm 59:1,2 – “Deliver me from my enemies, O God; protect me from those who        up against me. Deliver me from evildoers and save me from bloodthirsty men.”

 

_            Pray for an end to the Russian/Ukrainian war.

Russia launched missile drones targeting energy facilities in Ukraine this past week. Pray for those without power sources during the winter cold. Pray for an end to this war and pray for President-elect Donald Trump’s new administration to succeed as they plan to “seek bold diplomacy to end the war.”

              Matthew 5:9 – “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sone of God.”

 

_            Pray for Israel.

Pray that the negotiations between Israel and Hamas will result in the release of remaining hostages and an end to terrorist activity.

Isaiah 31:5 – “Like birds hovering overhead, the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will pass over it and will rescue it.”
