- Pray for Israeli hostages in Gaza.
The number of surviving hostages in Gaza may be as low as fifty, after approximately 250 Israeli and foreign hostages were kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th. Keep praying for those that are missing that they will be returned, and that God will restore them physically and emotionally.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 – “pray continually”
James 5:16 – “Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous ma can accomplish much.”
- Pray for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Pray for persecution to stop. The “Islamic State-affiliated terrorists slaughtered 150 people, including 80 Christians” this month. The goal of this terrorist group is “to establish a Shia Islamic caliphate in Africa.” Christians are fleeing and some churches have closed. Pray for protection for those being attacked and for the government to come to the aid of these persecuted citizens.
Proverbs 13:9 – “The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.”
2 Corinthians 4:8,9 – “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”
- Pray for fathers to be what God has intended.
Last week in the United States, we celebrated Father’s Day, but fathers need more than a celebrated day, they need daily prayer. “According to the National Fatherhood Initiative, nearly twenty million American Children live in homes where their biological fathers do not live.” Reports indicate that this “fatherhood crisis,” has created “a culture of “floundering” young men.” They go onto say, “positive father involvement is associated with better outcomes on nearly every measure of child well-being.” Children with father involvement are less likely to experience drug and alcohol abuse and are more likely to graduate high school. Data show that “fatherless families are more likely to be poor and boys raised without their father are much more likely to use drugs, engage in violent or criminal behavior, go to jail, and drop out of school.” Pray for American fathers and fathers in all nations to stay with and love their families and to be positive role models for their children.
Deuteronomy 6:6,8 – “And you must think constantly about these commandments I am giving you today. You must teach them to your children and talk about them when you are at home or out for a walk; at bedtime and the first thing in the morning.”
Ephesians 6:4 – “Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”
Romans 14:12 – “So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.”
- Pray for continued revival Worldwide.
Pastor Yuariy Semenyuk moved to Transnistria, a Russian controlled part of Moldova, with his family in 2000 and has been persecuted and harassed over the years but now there is a remarkable revival in Transnistria. Hundreds of people are packing the Church on Sundays and “baptisms are a regular occurrence.” Revival has been occurring in Brazil, throughout college campuses in the United States, and now in Transnistria. Pray for revival in your country, in your city, in your Church. Come Lord Jesus.
Acts 3:19,20 – “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, and that he may send the Christ, who has been appointed for you – even Jesus.”
Continue to pray for Israel, Ukraine, and Haiti.
