- Continue prayers for persecuted Christians.
In North Mozambique, Christians are facing increasing threats from Islamic extremist, who.
continue to fight the Mozambican government to impose Muslim law and control on the country. Islamic jihadists have murdered more than six thousand people and displaced over a million people in Mozambique since 2017.
Nigeria remains sixth on the Open Door 2024 World Watch List, as Fulani herdsmen continue to kill and displace Christians. Ruled by Islamic government, almost nothing is being done to protect Christian Citizens.
Pray for these and other countries where many Christians are being killed, tortured, and displaced and where homes and churches are being destroyed. Pray for their perseverance and for their faith to increase in these times of trouble.
Psalm 2:1,2 – “Why are the nations so angry? Why do they waste their time with futile plans? The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the Lord and against his anointed one.”
1 Peter 1:7 – “These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold – though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So, when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.”
- Pray for Sudan.
As war, the fight for power, and large-scale massacres continues, five million people are on the brink of famine and tens of millions need aid. Pray for those suffering from starvation, pray for war to cease, and pray for the people of Sudan to come to Christ.
Psalm 10:16-18 – “You, Lord, are King forever and ever! You will see to it that all the nations perish from your land. Lord, you know and understand all the hopes of the humble and will hear their cries and comfort their hearts, helping them all! The orphans and the oppressed will be terrified no longer, for you will bring them justice, and no one will trouble them.”
- Pray for African countries as they encounter natural disasters.
East Africa is experiencing heavy rains and flooding in Kenya and Tanzania, killing hundreds of people, and causing destruction of roads, bridges, and railways. More rain is expected this coming week. Meanwhile, in Zambia and surrounding areas in southern Africa, the drought continues. Pray God’s comfort, protection and provision over these people and lands.
2nd Samuel 22:3 – “my God is my rock, In whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge my savior, the one who save me from violence.”
- Pray protection for the Jewish People everywhere.
Antisemitic attacks continue in the Netherlands and the many of the approximate forty thousand Jewish people there are fearful and considering if they should return to Israel.
Israel has described the October 7th attack as “the worst atrocities against Jews since the Holocaust”. This massacre of twelve hundred people is an act that most Islamic nations do not condemn. But as war continues in Israel against Hamas, Anti-Israel protester, not just in the Netherlands, but world-wide are attacking the Jewish people. Lift the Jewish people up in prayer that they would be protected from acts of violence and that they would accept Jesus as the Messiah.
Isaiah 44:1,2 – “But now listen, O Jacob, My servant; And Israel, whom I have chosen; Thus says the Lord who made you and formed you from the womb, who will help you. Do not fear, O Jacob My servant; And you Jeshurun whom I have chosen.”
Isaish 43:1 – “But now, thus says the Lord, your Creator, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel, Do not fear for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are Mine!”
Isaish 62:1,2 – “For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, until her righteousness goes forth like brightness and her salvation like a torch that is burning and the nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; and you will be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord will designate.”
Continue prayers for Israel, Ukraine, Haiti, and Taiwan. Pray for revival of The Church, The Bride of Christ, that the light will shine in a dark world.
