- Pray for Haiti.
Amid anticipated appointment of a new prime minister, gang violence in Haiti continues. Last week the main airport was “temporarily shut down due to gang violence.” As firefights “erupted between gangs and police,” civilians fled for cover, terrified. Pray for this continuing gang violence to stop and pray for protection of law enforcement personnel and innocent citizens.
Psalm 34:14 – Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”
- Pray for an end to antisemitic actions.
Violence erupted last week as, “Jew were hunted in the streets of Amsterdam in scenes resembling the 1930’s and World War Two.” The antisemitic violence followed a soccer match between Israel and Amsterdam teams. “Israeli soccer fans were kicked to the ground and forced to show their passports and say, free Palestine.” There were also hit and run attacks on Jewish people. Pray for Jews worldwide and that the hatred and antisemitic attacks on these people would stop.
Psalm18:46-48 – “The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior! He is the God who avenges me, who subdues nations under me, who saves me from my enemies. You exalted me above my foes; from violent men you rescued me.”
- Pray for Christians in Mexico.
Laws intended to “protect Indigenous Mexican communities may force Christians in Mexico to participate in traditional pagan practices.” Pray these new laws do not pass as they would increase Christians to persecutions that could include denial of essential services such as healthcare, water, electricity, and education for their children.
Job 34:29b,30 – “Yet he is over man and nation alike, to keep a godless man from ruling, from laying snares for the people.”
- Continue prayers for Nigerian Christians.
“Christians plead for help amid ongoing Islamic slaughter.” As Fulani herdsmen attacks continue, almost daily, twenty-one Christian farmers were murdered between October 30 and November 2. Islamic terrorism began to take hold in Nigeria in 2009 and since that time approximately sixty thousand Christians have been murdered, and thousand of others kidnapped and/or displaced. Pray for these Christians to stand strong for the Lord and to be filled with peace.
Psalm 82:2-4,8 – “How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance.”
- Continue to Pray for Israel.
Pray for the terrorism to end, for the Jewish people to accept Jesus as the Messiah, and for the Peace of Jerusalem. Pray that President Biden will not be withholding weapons from Israel but will uphold “America’s ironclad commitment to Israel.”
Psalm 53:6 – “Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
Isaiah 31:5 – “Like birds hovering overhead, the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem; he will shield it and deliver it, he will pass over it and will rescue it.”
Praise God the rain has started in Zambia. Pray that the rain will continue in Zambia and throughout South African and fill the rivers and replenish the land with the much-needed water for next year’s crops.
