- Pray for those facing loss from natural disasters.

Pray for those in Vietnam and the Philippines affected by Super Typhoon Yagi. At least eighteen people are dead, dozens injured, 400,000 people evacuated from their homes, suffering the loss of utilities, and the destruction of property. Pray also as a busy bridge collapsed, due to Yagi, which killed more than sixty people and injured over two hundred people.

Pray for people in Morocco and Algeria as record rainfall has caused flooding resulting in over twenty deaths, destroyed homes, damaged roadways, and caused loss of utilities.

Pray for the state of Louisiana (United States), as Hurrian Francine slammed into the state causing flooding and destruction.

Pray for all those who lost loved ones from these storm events, pray for the rebuilding of their homes, businesses, and roadways and pray for those who are assisting those in need.

Matthew 7:24-27 – “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Pray for all people to build their life on the Rock, Jesus, so that we survive all the storms of this world.

Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Even in times of earthly trouble pray that we all put our hope in the Lord for he is our help in trouble, our strong tower that will not fall.

- Pray for Bangladesh.

Islamist parties are persecuting Christians and Hindus. Hizb ut-Tahrir, a previously banned Islamist organization, is calling for Bangladesh to become a Muslim-only country. Christians and other non-Muslims are being threatened and losing their jobs as the persecution intensifies. Pray for protection for those being persecuted and for all in Bangladesh to turn to the Lord.

Psalm 37:1-2 – “Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon dies away.”

Matthew 5:11-12 – “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

- Pray for the state of Missouri (United States) that people will vote against abortion.

Missouri Supreme Court ruled, that in November, the ballot will “contain Amendment 3, a measure that would enshrine the right to abortion up to viability in the state constitution.” Abortion was banned in the state, after the reversal of Roe v Wade in 2022 except for some medical emergencies. This is a dangerous threat to pro-life laws in Missouri as many continue to view abortion, killing of their babies, to be an individual choice. Pray for eyes and hearts to be open to the ways of the Lord and to the life of unborn children. Pray that this amendment does not pass. Pray for people of this nation and all nations to end abortions everywhere.

2 Chronicles 7:14 – “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Psalm 139:13, 15 – “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.”

- Pray October 12th through 20th, 2024 with United Kingdom Christians.

Christians throughout the United Kingdom will be participating in a National Week of Prayer for their county and other nations. Diverse denominations are joining in prayer to “Let Faith Rise.” Archbishop Angaelos stated, “There is nothing more powerful for us to do, than to pray. Stand together, pray together.” Let all Christians throughout the world join the UK in prayer.

Philippians 1:9-10 – “And this is my prayer’ that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best, may be pure, and blameless until the day of Christ.”

James 5:16 – “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 – Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
